CareerBuilder.com is the largest online job site in the United States. The site posts more than 1.3 million jobs and is updated with new jobs daily. Employers purchase 30 day job postings or Resume Database Access to reach candidates. Applicants can search jobs by keyword, city, state, zip code, company and/or industry, apply to jobs online, or upload their resume.
Advertising and Awards
CareerBuilder.com was an advertiser in the Super Bowl in 2005 & 2006. They are known for their humorous commercials featuring a man that is frustrated with his job because he works with a bunch of monkeys. See the commercials online here.
In April of 2006 CareerBuilder.com's site was nominated for a Webby Award in the employment category.
Company information
CareerBuilder LLC acquired Atlanta-based HeadHunter.net via in 2001. CareerBuilder LLC is owned by the Gannett, Tribune and McClatchy newspaper companies.
CareerBuilder has achieved significant revenue & traffic growth in the past 5 years due to large investments by the owner companies funding an aggressive sales and affiliate marketing strategy. They currently have over 1600 employees in the US. The headquarters are in Chicago at 200 N LaSalle St. Suite 1100, Chicago, IL 60601.
After partnering with other job sites internationally for several years, CareerBuilder went on its own and launched sites in Canada, the UK and Indiain early 2006.
